June is almost done. And it was actually a good one. Not perfect. Not the month where everything clicked into place and the routine was flawless and the energy was consistent every single day. Just good. Genuinely, actually good.

OUR MAIN TOPIC

Closing June With Something Better Than a Resolution

There is a version of the end-of-month reflection that turns into a performance review. What you finished, what slipped, where you fell short. This is not that.

This is the version that asks a different question: how did this month actually feel?

June felt like a season arriving with intention. Like a pace that fit. Like mornings in Madrid where the light comes early and lingers forever and going outside stopped feeling like something to schedule and started feeling like the obvious thing to do. Like realizing, somewhere in the middle of the month, that wellness does not have to be something you are always catching up to. It can just be how you are living.

Marathon training is in full swing and the thing it keeps teaching me is the same thing every good month eventually teaches you: consistency is not the same as perfection. Showing up through the uncomfortable days, the heavy legs, the Thursday that did not go to plan, and doing it anyway, that is the whole thing. June was a month of doing it anyway and arriving at the other side feeling genuinely good about it.

July is going to be a lot. In the best way. Full calendars, summer at its peak, the kind of energy that only exists in the three months when everything feels possible. We are going into it rested, clear, and ready.

That is the only goal for closing a month. Arrive at the next one with something still in the tank.

Before July takes over, take five minutes with these three:

What actually worked in June?
Not what you planned. What genuinely happened, felt good, and you would do again. Start there.

What are you done carrying?
One habit, expectation, or routine that stopped serving you this month. Name it and leave it here.

How do you want July to feel?
Not what you want to accomplish. How you want to feel while it is happening. That answer tends to be more useful than any goal.

OUR SPONSOR

Elevate Your Summer

Peak summer is not the time to let your foundation slip. It is actually the time to protect it the most.

My summer training stack has been built around this. Creatine because the heat does not change the fact that strength and muscle recovery matter, and the research on creatine is as clean as it gets. Vitamin D because even in Madrid, with all this sun, supplementing through summer keeps my levels where they need to be for immune function and mood. Collagen because marathon training asks a lot of connective tissue and collagen gives it what it needs to hold up.

Momentous is the brand I trust for all of it. Third-party tested, athlete-grade formulations, and honest about what the research actually supports. If you are training through the summer or just trying to maintain what you built in the first half of the year, this is the stack worth building your summer around.
