In Partnership With
September’s rotation is less about reinventing your entire routine and more about finding a few genuinely good things to add to it. This week, we have the new release already at the top of the bestseller list, two podcasts that make money and celebrity interviews considerably less exhausting, and four wellness products earning their counter, nightstand, or wrist space. Plus, the daily staple I have used for years is officially joining us as September’s partner.
MONTHLY RECAP

The September Edit
📖 Reading: Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty
The sequel to Big Little Lies has finally arrived, picking up with the women of Pirriwee more than a decade later and their children now in high school. The same secrets, sharp observations, and complicated friendships, now with teenagers involved. Obviously, nothing could go wrong.
🎧 Listening: Good Hang with Amy Poehler
A celebrity interview podcast with no personal-development assignment waiting at the end. Amy Poehler brings on funny, interesting people to talk about their careers, mutual friends, current obsessions, and what is making them laugh. Start with the Keke Palmer or Kenan Thompson episodes when you need a walk to feel less like another wellness task.
💸 Listening: Money Rehab with Nicole Lapin
Personal finance without the vocabulary test. Nicole Lapin covers investing, saving, salary negotiations, real estate, and the money questions people are usually too embarrassed to ask. The episodes are concise enough to finish during a coffee run, but useful enough that you will probably open your banking app afterward.
⌚ Tracking: WHOOP
Currently exposing the gap between the amount of recovery I think I am getting and the amount I am actually getting. During marathon training, the sleep, strain, and recovery data have been especially helpful for recognizing when pushing through is no longer productive. I do not treat every score like a command, but I appreciate data that makes it harder to negotiate with the obvious. Get a free WHOOP and one month free when you join with my link.
😴 Waking up: Hatch Restore 3
Sunrise alarm, sound machine, reading light, and bedtime routine in one device. The gradual light makes waking up feel less aggressive, while the evening settings create an actual cue to stop scrolling and go to sleep. Less aesthetic morning-routine content, more getting out of bed without immediately resenting the day.
🧊 Cooling down: The Things We Do Cooling Mask
A reversible, bead-filled face mask that lives ready for post-run heat, puffy mornings, and the days when Madrid still refuses to acknowledge that summer is ending. It costs $18, requires no charging, and delivers exactly the kind of immediate satisfaction we want from a wellness purchase.
👀 Restocking: Root + Renew The Revive Hydrogel Eye Patches
Yes, Root + Renew is our sister brand, but The Revive still has to earn its place here. These cooling hydrogel patches are the five-minute answer to tired-looking under-eyes before a meeting, dinner, or after an early run. They contain panthenol and come in individual pairs, which also makes them considerably easier to travel with than a full skincare intervention.
OUR PARTNER

The Supplement That Survived Every Routine Change
Paid partnership with ARMRA. This section contains affiliate links, which means Wellness Bum may earn a commission from purchases.
I started taking ARMRA for gut support five to six years ago, and it has been part of my daily routine ever since. That history matters because most wellness products do not survive five years of changing schedules, travel, training blocks, and the occasional attempt to simplify everything.
ARMRA is a whole-food powder made from bovine colostrum with naturally occurring bioactive nutrients, including immunoglobulins and peptides. I use it daily because it is easy, familiar, and already part of my baseline. No complicated stack and no pretending I discovered it last week.
New customers can shop through our link or use code WELLNESSBUM and enjoy 15% off a first subscription or one-time purchase.
September does not need a personality transplant. A new book, a better podcast, and one or two products that make the day easier will do just fine.
See you Sunday!
Valerie
