In Partnership With

September has a way of making everything feel like it needs an overhaul, but this week we are skipping the full-life reset. Instead, we are looking back at what August made clear, deciding what is actually worth carrying forward, and making room for the people, habits, and routines that add something meaningful. Plus, I’m sharing the wellness staple that has stayed in my routine for years.

MONTHLY RECAP

Keep What Adds

The internet loves a September transformation. New routines. New goals. New systems. A suspicious number of planners.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a fresh start, but sometimes the most useful thing you can do at the beginning of a new month is notice what is already working.

August reminded me that trusting yourself is a practice. It happens when something feels off and you stop trying to explain it away. When you change the plan because your body is asking for something different. When you accept that a slower season can still be a productive one, even if the progress is harder to photograph.

It also reminded me that more is not always the answer.

More plans do not automatically create a better life. More wellness habits do not guarantee that you will feel better. More access to someone does not make the relationship more meaningful. Sometimes the clearest way forward is simply paying attention to what adds something and what quietly takes it away.

That is the energy I want to bring into September.

Not a reinvention, but an edit.

Keep the people who leave you feeling more like yourself. Keep the habits that support you without requiring a performance. Keep the work that feels connected to where you are going. Keep the places where your shoulders drop. Keep the version of yourself you are becoming, even if she does not look exactly like the one you planned.

The goal is not to enter September as a completely different person. It is to enter with better information.

The Routine That Stayed

Paid partnership with ARMRA. This section also contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link.

ARMRA has been part of my daily gut-support routine for five to six years, long before it became something I was paid to talk about. That matters to me because I am increasingly uninterested in recommending wellness products based on a two-week trial or a trending ingredient.

ARMRA is a whole-food supplement made with bovine colostrum and bioactive nutrients, including immunoglobulins and peptides. I take it daily because it is simple, familiar, and easy to stay consistent with. It is not a dramatic wellness ritual. It is simply one of the few products that has remained part of my baseline.

New customers can shop through our link or use code WELLNESSBUM and enjoy 15% off a first subscription or one-time purchase.

WHAT I’M KEEPING

🏃‍♀️ Plans that can change. Marathon training has made this very clear. Following a plan matters, but so does knowing when your body needs something different, like rest. Adjusting is not the same as quitting.

📷 Proof of the ordinary days. Not every photo needs to document a major moment. The coffee, the walk, the sunset, the blurry post-run photo with friends. These are often the parts of a season you end up wanting back.

📵 Time that is not immediately shared. Some experiences become more meaningful when they are allowed to belong to you first. No post, no recap, no need to turn the moment into content.

👯‍♀️ People who add. The right people do not make you question whether there is room for you. They make your life feel fuller, lighter, and more honest.

🧴 Wellness routines that have earned their place. If something has stayed in your routine for years, works for your actual lifestyle, and does not require a complicated protocol, it probably deserves more attention than whatever just went viral.

WEEKLY THOUGHT

Instagram post

OUR PARTNER

Afternoon energy. Minus the afternoon coffee.

Pique’s new X·E Fountain energy drink delivers clean, caffeine-free energy without the jitters, crash, or dehydration. Vitamin B Complex, magnesium, and electrolytes help support steady focus, while crisp cucumber-celery-lime makes every sip ridiculously refreshing.

You do not need to carry everything into the next season simply because it has been part of the last one. Ask yourself: what is genuinely adding something to my life, and what am I maintaining only because I have not stopped to question it?

Keep what adds. Let the rest stay in August.

See you Wednesday!

Valerie
